Dwarka sub city is the highly developed region located in the South West Delhi district. Named after the popular Dwarka kingdom, the locality is situated in a very close proximity to Gurgaon’s business hub. It was recently considered as the Asia’s largest suburb.
Offering the high quality, secure, happier, and luxurious living to numbers of people, this locality has emerged out as largest developed residential region in Asia and often considered as Model Township owing to the well planned, highly organized, and clean & green policies that makes it the highly favored residential region of the Delhi and close by communities.
New development of the Dwarka Express Highway
The Dwarka express highway is the most important project of the Haryana government. The project was launched with the aim to improve the infrastructure of the city and allowing the people to enjoy the comfortable journey and reach the desired location without getting frustrated due to the increased traffic jam.
The work on this highway will start very soon. This project was delayed for some time because of some reason but not cancelled. The dispute between Delhi and Haryana government has delayed the process.
New addition to Dwarka express highway is coming soon!
NHAI (national highway authority of India) is contemplating a new proposal to connect the Dwarka expressway with the airport of Delhi through tunnel to make sure travelers do not get trapped in the jam while traveling to IGI (Indira Gandhi International) airport.
The center government is planning this new proposal to build an elevated parallel highway and a tunnel from the Haryana side linking with IGI airport to remove the traffic discomfort. This construction will be the enhancement to Dwarka Express highway. The proposal is made under the consideration of the Airport Authority of India and Delhi International Airport Private Limited (DIAL), a private company operating the IGI airport of Delhi.
It would be a great experience to drive to IGI airport!
It is believed that the tunnel will connect the Dwarka sub-city with the IGI airport while bypassing the national highway 8, which is usually blocked with so much traffic. After this construction, driving to Indira Gandhi Airport via Delhi Gurgaon expressway may seem just like a breeze. Dwarka expressway will join the Delhi Gurgaon expressway at Mahipalpur opposite Shiv Murti.
According to the sources of NHAI, the strategy is to construct a tunnel which can easily control the traffic flow to airport. The team is hoping that this idea will work by reducing the traffic pressure off the road and give the alternative route for reaching the airport.
